FAQ For Onsite Classes

Where is the classroom located?

The classroom is located here, in the San Francisco Bay Area. We accept both local and remote learning students.

How do I Signup?

Visit the enrollment page for the course that you are interested in, and follow the checkout instruction to reserve your seat.  Only the registration fee is required at the signup time.  You should receive an instant confirmation email about your enrollment.

About Registration Fee

A registration fee is required at the time of enrollment. It covers our administration cost and secures your spot for the class and is not refundable. Your commitment helps us for accurate planning. We want to keep the small class size to not compromise student’s quality of learning. When the class is full, we will hold the spot for you and open up waiting list.

The registration fee is only refundable in the event that class is cancelled or rescheduled by Ascende Learning.

About Waiting List

When the class is full,  the waiting list will be opened.  If a registered customer cancels and frees up a space, we will automatically enroll the first student in the waiting list.

If you are interested in getting on the waiting list, please use the same registration process. The deposit is still required,  so that when a spot is available for you, we can immediately put you in the class.

If there is no spot for you by the time the course starts, the deposit will be returned to you in full.

When and How do I Make Payments for Tuition?

You will receive an email with the subject “Your Ascende Learning order is now complete”. In that email, you will find important information on the class, and payment instruction for the tuition, your prompt payment is appreciated.  You should also expect to hear from us via email about 3-4 weeks prior to class starts (so please make sure it is not misspelled). The full amount of tuition is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the course.  If at anytime your situation changed and you can no longer take the course, please let us know as soon as your earliest convenience, so that we can make your seat available to students from the waiting list. Tuition is refundable prorated up to 3rd week of the class, with one week’s notice.

What is the Refund Policy?

We offer prorated refund up to the 3rd lesson into the course.  In another word, students can take up to three lessons and receive the rest of the tuition back.

Any withdrawal notice must be provided to us at least one week in advanceI.e. the latest time to notify us for withdrawal is the end of the day of the 2nd lesson.

Starting from the day after the 2nd lesson of the course, there will be no refund or credit.

In case of any schedule changes or cancellations made by Ascende Learning, all unused tuition will be refunded.

There is no partial refund for absence or students that join the class after the courses starts. Our curriculum is thoughtfully planned and crafted to be spirally progressive, if a student enrolls after the course has started, we will provide all lesson materials and he/she is expected to make up for all the lessons missed in order to keep up with the pace of the course.

What About Absence?

For any expected absence, please let us know three days in advance. We will provide all study materials (including slides, videos and audios) and students are expected to self study and do all homework on time in order to keep up the pace with the class.
