The course consists of the following parts:
- Introduction: First, students will learn major components of the World Wide Web (abbreviated WWW or the Web). Student will explore various live websites, e.g. informational, commerce, social media, blog, government, Rest API, etc.. Along the way, they will expose to and understand common terminologies, such as documents, web resources, Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP and HTTPs), Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
- Html and CSS: Once students have mastered the big picture, we turn our focus to the main brain of web page design — HTML and CSS. They will learn the common HTML elements and CSS techniques. Students will use a real live web-site to design, publish, and share their web pages.
- Students should have completed pre-algebra course in math. Prior programming experience is not required.
